Who should I call for street light repair?
You should call the company that your electric bill comes from.

How do I dispose old paint?
If your paint is latex it must be dried before disposal. You can mix kitty litter in the paint to speed up the drying process. Then your regular garbage carrier should take it. You can dispose of oil based paints at the Ottawa County Resource Recovery Service Center, 14053 Quincy Street on every Tuesday and Thursday, or the 2nd Saturday of each month 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
Does the Township have recycling?
Park Township does not offer residential recycling. However, most garbage services offer recycling, as well as the Ottawa County Resource Recovery Service Center (616) 393-5645.
Where do I call to report road kill?
The Ottawa County Road Commission will pick up dead deer, dogs, and skunks. You can call (616) 842-5400 or email info@ottawacorc.com
Does the Township have rules concerning lawn maintenance?
The Property Maintenance Ordinance states that in residential districts, front yards shall be maintained free from weeds and grass in excess of 12 inches tall. Garbage or Rubbish cannot be allowed to accumulate, and no inoperative or unregistered vehicles can be kept or stored outside a building.
Can I raise chickens?
The keeping of poultry in any zoning district except the AG agricultural and permanent open space district is prohibited except when authorized by the zoning administrator.
How many pets are allowed per household?
No more than four (4) adult dogs or cats or any combination thereof shall be kept or housed in or at one dwelling unit.
What are the rules for storing R.V’s on personal property?
Between November 1 and February 28 boats and travel trailers must be stored behind the front line of the house, or 100 feet back from the edge of the road right-of-way, whichever is less.
Can I make partial payments on my taxes?
Yes. You can make a partial tax payment, but keep in mind that we do not send reminder bills of balances owing.
What is a tax deferment?
A tax deferment allows more time to pay your taxes without penalty. It does not change the total amount of your tax bill. Senior citizens (62 years and older), veterans and persons with disabilities can qualify if they have a household income of $40,000 or less.
How do I contact Animal Control?
Call Ottawa County Central Dispatch’s non-emergency number 1-800-249-0911, and ask for Animal Control. Animal Control Deputies regularly pick-up stray cats and dogs and assist in reuniting owners with lost pets. They routinely investigate complaints regarding the handling and care of companion animals.
Where can I buy a dog license?
You may purchase a license either online https://www.miottawa.org/DogLicense/ , through the mail or in-person at licensing locations.
Can people sell door-to-door in Park Township?
A Peddler’s License is required for selling goods or services door-to-door in Park Township. The application form can be obtained at the township office or click “Peddler’s License”, and must have Supervisor’s approval. Anyone selling should have a copy of the approved license for verification.
